Q: What is virtualization and how does it help with disaster recovery?
A:Virtualization is running a virtual instance of a server within another server. One of the main advantages is having multiple virtual servers per one physical server. With the BDR, we use this technology to bring up a virtual instance (an exact copy) of your server in the case of a hardware failure or similar. Once the hardware is repaired we can restore this to the physical machine, including all changes that have occurred while the hardware was being repaired.
