Setting up a dial up connection in Windows XP

Click on Start, then click on Control Panel


Click on Network and Internet Connections.


Click on Set up or change your Internet connection.


Click Next


Select Connect to the Internet, then click Next


Select Set up my connection manually, then click Next


Select Connect using a dial-up modem, then click Next


Under ISP Name type in a name such as Northwest Communications, then click Next


Under Phone number, type the local phone number given to you by Northwest Communications.

Please make sure that the number given to you by Northwest Communications is a local call for your area.

Click Next.


For User name, type the first part of your email address without the @ncn.net

for Password, type in your password, then retype the password on the Confirm password line.

Click Next


If you would like a shortcut to the dial up connection on your desktop, place a check in the box.

Click Finish to complete the creation of your dial up connection.
